2402 10002 MM-Point: Multi-View Information-Enhanced Multi-Modal Self-Supervised 3D Point Cloud Understanding

ArXivLabs is a framework that allows collaborators to develop and share new arXiv features directly on our website. Deformation networks are used to predict each sparse control point’s control signals given any timestamp. To get high-quality meshes, depth images are filtered by rendered images with RGB mask, and then TSDF is applied on multiview depth images and RGB images.

For the first 8 questions, the users are asked to give their environment preference that they felt best answers the question. Reconstructing objects and extracting high-quality surfaces play a vital role in the real world. Current 4D representations show the ability to render high-quality novel views for dynamic objects but cannot reconstruct high-quality meshes due to their implicit or geometrically inaccurate representations. In this paper, we propose a novel representation that can reconstruct accurate meshes from sparse image input, named Dynamic 2D Gaussians (D-2DGS).

  • In today’s fast-paced digital world, 2D infographics have become a popular way to simplify complex data.
  • For example, some 3D spatial data visualizations are more suitable using a 3D immersive visualization system, while feature extraction often is facilitated by 2D charts and infographics.
  • In order to be a ParaViewWeb component, it must implement a small number of functions that provide the interface that ParaViewWeb expects, and so other charting libraries can be made into a component by creating this interface.
  • Comparison infographics are used to put two or more options side by side for easy evaluation.
  • Our visual analytics system architecture is designed to streamline the visual information seeking Mantra to allow for a much easier interoperability of visualization hardware and software to support unified data analysis tasks.

They form the building blocks of the UI and are solely concerned with the rendering aspects of that particular component. In order to be a ParaViewWeb component, it must implement a small number of functions that provide the interface that ParaViewWeb expects, and so other charting libraries can be made into a component by creating this interface. As mentioned previously, they will receive events from the providers, and update their views appropriately. Maintaining consistent colors, fonts, and style is essential to keep your infographic visually cohesive. This consistency will make your work more recognizable and professional, especially when creating 2D animated infographics for marketing. Each type of 2D infographic has its strengths, depending on your communication needs.

Once the data time frame is selected, the user can look to the 3D visualization to determine the path of the assets. For determining the similarity of the two events in the scene, the user compare the different views on the LHRD for a better situational awareness. However, this interaction requires the user to look to the different 2D visualization views after each selection for a better situational awareness from the dataset. In this experimental design, we are also not considering the 2D visualization aspect in a 3D immersive environment. Similar to how we used 2D display environment for 3D visualization, we could implement the 2D visualization within a 3D immersive environment.

However, the advantage with this approach is that it allows for quicker prototyping of specific reconfigurable visualization use cases, as data can be managed more flexibly. Refer to the prototype examples in the subsequent sections to see an illustration of how the application server can be utilized and extended for different hybrid, distributed visualization applications. They make complex data easier to understand and can enhance clarity in marketing campaigns and reports.

However, we want the users to have a fair and controlled study so as not to bias the responses in favor of the hybrid 2D and 3D multiple coordinated views system. Therefore, our usability study compared both multiple coordinated views in 2D visualization environment, as well as in a mixed reality and 3D visualization environment. 2D infographics in graphic design are a way to share ideas, data, or processes using simple visuals like charts, images, and diagrams. They help make complex topics easier to understand by presenting the information in a clear, engaging way.

Statistical infographics focus on presenting data and numbers in a visually appealing way. They typically include charts, graphs, and percentages to break down complex information. This type of 2D infographic is ideal for marketing campaigns that rely on data-driven results, making the information easier to digest for the audience. Infographics are both informative and visually appealing, making the information easier to remember. When people see well-designed visuals, they are more likely to remember the data presented. This helps businesses communicate important messages in a way that sticks with their audience, adding long-term value.

In our development, we also compartmentalize application server logic into smaller protocol classes. The smaller protocol classes allows each protocol to be imported in a modular fashion, enabling development of flexible server applications. For example, there is a clear separation between the data protocol and filter protocol.

This approach is especially useful for engaging audiences on social media and other dynamic platforms. Stick to basic visuals and minimal text to ensure your infographic remains clean and easy to understand. They combine animation and visuals to capture attention quickly, making them ideal for platforms where users scroll rapidly. Which increases the chances of your content reaching a broader audience and boosting engagement. Through visual storytelling, 2D infographics create a narrative that grabs attention and keeps viewers engaged. They use elements like charts, diagrams, and images to guide the audience through the information.

Various combinations of hardware and software platforms can be leveraged in the development of visual analytics tools. However, the most challenging design effort is to develop a visual analytics application for our requirements while considering the extensible and general-purpose aspect of the tool to support the next phase of the research. Specifically in our work, our goal is to support real-time interactive visualization of complex data through useful human-computer interaction on Large High-Resolution Display (LHRD) and 3D JSViz Mixed Reality systems.

What Makes 2D Infographics in Graphic Design Important?

For the VR environment, the user was placed within the environment and could view the animation at life-size scale. However, in the mixed reality environment, it impedes the entire user’s view to be engulfed in an immersive environment. Thus, the view we selected allows the user to take on a more omniscient view of the holographic environment at a viewing angle similar to that of a bird’s-eye view. Since Unity has the ability to deploy to various platforms and devices, we choose to target the Microsoft HoloLens Mixed Reality device for our 3D Unity applications.

Once the correct platform is targeted, we need to ensure that Unity development environment still has virtual reality support enabled. This can be done within the XR settings section of player setting by selecting the virtual reality supported checkbox. In addition, Windows Mixed Reality should also be specified as the Virtual Reality SDK.
